Here’s where you could see him before.

One of the best things about 21st century media is the ability to watch some of the most talented artists rise to well-deserved success in real time. The 2020s have already brought to life many actors, writers, and musicians who will undoubtedly dominate their respective fields a decade later. Harris Dickinson is just one of the most prominent names.

If you want to find out why critics and audiences are so obsessed with the 28-year-old British heartthrob, check out the best of his performances in the list below.

Clique (2017-2018)

Starting as part of BBC Three's exclusive online schedule, Clique became so popular after its first season that it was picked up for a repeat on BBC One. Harris Dickinson, then just beginning his career, played the recurring role of musician Sam on the show.

Since he was tied to Synnøve Karlsen's character Holly as her temporary love interest, Sam was no longer needed on the show once their arc ended, so Dickinson did not return for season 2. Still, if you want to see how the actor started out, Clique is a fun and entertaining watch.

Trust (2018)

One of the first roles that brought Dickinson worldwide recognition was that of John Paul Getty III, grandson of J. Paul Getty and heir to the Getty Oil fortune. The 10-episode FX-produced story of a kidnapping and the intrigue surrounding one of the world's most expensive companies was the actor's ticket to stardom.

Even if you are not interested in the story itself, the thrilling drama is worth watching for the performances of Dickinson himself, as well as his on-screen grandfather, Donald Sutherland, and Brendan Fraser as James Fletcher Chace, Getty's head of security.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019)

The young actor's charm didn't go unnoticed, as his next project saw him as a Disney Prince to rival Elle Fanning's Aurora. Harris Dickinson took over the role of Prince Philip from another actor, Brenton Thwaites, who had portrayed him in the first film, and made it his own.

Though the film focused more on the maternal bond between Maleficent and Aurora and the difficult obstacles they had to overcome to be accepted, Philip's subtle presence was recognized by both critics and audiences, making the film another major step in Dickinson's career.

The King's Man (2021)

In the third installment of the British Kingsman film series directed by Matthew Vaughn, Harris Dickinson played Conrad Oxford, the feisty son of Ralph Fiennes' Orlando, who is determined to fight in the Great War no matter what his father thinks.

Although the movie received mixed reviews and is now standing with 41% on Rotten Tomatoes, Dickinson's performance once again stood out to critics. The big name of a franchise also helped the actor earn his first BAFTA Film Award nomination for the EE Rising Star Award.

Where the Crawdads Sing (2022)

Based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Delia Owens, Where the Crawdads Sing attracted a lot of attention when it was first released.

First, the original novel already had a large fan base following the production of the adaptation, second, the film was produced by Reese Witherspoon, and finally, it starred some of the most promising rising stars, such as Daisy Edgar-Jones and Harris Dickinson. The movie did not live up to the expectations of the critics, but made the audience happy.

The Iron Claw (2023)

To this day, The Iron Claw remains one of Harris Dickinson's most critically acclaimed projects, boasting an 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a loyal following worldwide.

As wrestling superstar David Von Erich, Dickinson stars alongside his on-screen brothers Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White in a scene-stealing performance. The biographical story of the legendary family will not leave anyone indifferent, whether they are interested in sports or not.

A Murder at the End of the World ( 2023)

The project that earned Harris Dickinson his second BAFTA Television Award nomination, this time for Best Supporting Actor, A Murder at the End of the World is a must-see limited series for fans of dark murder mysteries and psychological thrillers.

Dickinson plays Billy Farrah, an investigative partner of the show's star, Darby, who becomes involved in a series of mysterious events at the remote retreat. The chilling adventure is perfect for late-night weekend viewing.
