What Did Courteney Cox Do to Make Jennifer Aniston Weep?
Actually, nothing too bad! Those were tears of pure joy for her good old friend Courteney.
The beloved Friends star Courteney Cox was honored with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame ahead of the release of the new Scream movie where the actress comes back as Gale Weathers. Well, it is about time!
Cox was joined by her Friends co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston at the event, and the fans were overjoyed at this little reunion. Don't judge us, we will take what we can get!
While Lisa, surely, was just as happy to see her friend receive such an honor, Jennifer proved that "Rachel always cries." At least, this time it is not Mr. Treeger's fault.
Aniston was spotted tearing up in the audience, and our hearts just melted! Isn't it great to see such a long-lasting friendship still going strong so many years later?
If you thought that we were done making you weep, think again. Both Aniston and Kudrow were asked to speak during Cox's acceptance ceremony, and what they said could literally not be sweeter!
They both mentioned how nervous they were to meet Courteney at the time because she had already been a star by then.
Lisa said how "deeply, deeply proud" they were to know her while Jennifer added, "you are sisters from another mister, and we love you." Awww!
Aniston also praised Cox's meticulousness (remind you of anyone?) and even joked, "thank God this star is straight." Monica approved!
In her acceptance speech, Cox reciprocated by thanking her Friends co-stars for showing up for her "in public, the way you do so often in private." Girls, stop it please, we are already crying!
If you are wondering why Friends remains so popular almost 30 years after its original release, our guess is because of the people at the heart of the show.
They are the reason we believe that friendships can last, and they just keep proving us right as the years go by.
What could be more heart-warming than seeing their genuine care for each other – the same one we were seeing for 10 years on the show? Absolutely nothing.
