This doesn't happen only for the fans, but for the cast as well.

Lost was a truly iconic show in its time. One of the shows with the biggest budget, the most impressive cast, and the biggest ambitions, it kept thousands upon thousands of viewers glued to their screens, waiting for the next episode.

The stakes were high, and viewers knew it.

Accustomed to seeing a survivalist setting on reality TV and the big screen rather than on television shows, people were gripped by the story and mystery of each episode.

Despite becoming a cultural phenomenon and inspiring numerous media works that attempted to replicate its success, Lost was far from perfect, with many character flaws and plot holes that left viewers scratching their heads during reruns.

Not only did the general audience find some of the writing choices highly questionable, but so did the cast members themselves.

Evangeline Lilly, who portrayed Kate Austen in the show, recalls the moment when she fell out of character and lost the joy of playing her character because of the inconsistencies in the writing.

The actress also admits to having quite an emotional reaction to some of Kate's life choices:

"I did throw scripts across rooms when I'd read them, because I would get very frustrated by the diminishing amount of autonomy she had and the diminishing amount of her own story there was to play".

Viewers' reactions were similar to her own, but they had the privilege of throwing things around in the comfort of their own homes rather than on a movie set.

Although emotional and not very happy with her character's arc, Lilly admits that she tried to do her best with what she was given at the time.

It's hard to portray a strong woman when all of her story is focused on the men around her, but she tried her best and managed to save some autonomy that Kate really deserves.

If you're feeling nostalgic and want to revisit Lost, you can stream it on Hulu or Disney Plus.
