Were We Robbed of the Best Couple on The Walking Dead? (Not Really)
Seems like it isn’t really bad that Sasha and Abraham didn’t end up together.
If you think about it, The Walking Dead ’s season 7 was one of the most pivotal seasons of them all. A sense of loss was palpable in this season as never before. Of course, we're referring to the death of Abraham and Glenn, who were brutally killed by Negan.
Negan, with his barbed-wire baseball bat and ruthless tactics, was a game-changer in the series. His arrival marked a significant shift in the narrative, and his actions reverberated through the lives of all characters.
While the death of Glenn was an absolute tragedy, Abraham’s death also left many viewers heartbroken. Negan’s actions also led to the untimely end of Sasha and Abraham's relationship, leaving fans with a bitter taste in their mouths.
A fan shared their opinion on Reddit, arguing that we were robbed of a potentially great relationship. Some viewers believe that we didn't get to see their relationship fully pan out, and it's a crying shame.
Sasha, a strong, resilient character who had already lost so much (Tyrese, Bob), found a spark with Abraham, a man with a brash exterior but with a heart capable of deep love. Their relationship, though brief, offered a glimmer of hope and normalcy in a world turned upside down.
However, not everyone is on the same page. Some fans felt that Sasha and Abraham's relationship came out of nowhere, and they didn't appreciate the way Abraham left Rosita. Others felt the relationship was forced and lacked chemistry.
Some fans also pointed out that Sasha engaging in a relationship with Abraham completely ruined her previous relationship with Bob, who died in season 5. The way she moved on so quickly didn’t seem really natural.
In the end, it’s a matter of perspective, and it's all part of the rollercoaster that was The Walking Dead.
The Walking Dead has always been famous for its awesome character development. The relationship between Sasha and Abraham was probably supposed to be more complicated to show how deep their connection was, but unfortunately, they were not meant to be together for too long.
