The long-standing fantasy franchise has found yet another lifespan.

Summary:

  • If you’ve recently wondered where Harry Potter ’s actors are standing now, some of them are still not over the franchise as two iconic characters will soon be back to a Harry Potter-themed TV show.
  • Fred and George Weasley’s actors James and Oliver Phelps are officially set to host Food Network’s brand new culinary contest show that will be based on the famous franchise’s universe.
  • Nobody else has yet been confirmed to be appearing in the contest program, but the production is rumored to start later this year.

Harry Potter’s iconic characters are back, but not in the way you may have thought about. More than ten years after the franchise’s last movie hit the cinema screens, Fred and George Weasley’s actors James and Oliver Phelps are making their way back to Hogwarts, this time not for a big battle, but for a cooking contest.

The recent news confirms that both actors will be hosting Food Network’s Harry Potter-themed baking show called Wizards of Baking.

According to Variety, the project was announced a couple of days ago by Warner Bros Discovery U.S. networks chief Kathleen Finch during an upfront presentation. Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking will presumably be aired on Food Network and then will arrive at Max for streaming.

No other details about the show’s possible guest stars coming from Harry Potter’s movie franchise have been provided yet, with the creators claiming that the initial announcement will be updated regularly. Variety’s reports also suggest that Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking’s production will start quite soon in the UK.

Started back in the 1990s, J.K. Rowling’s book series about wizards has never stopped blowing millions of fans across the world away with its further development.

The story has gradually grown from a book collection into one of the most successful movie franchises followed by all kinds of merchandise and even various cookbooks, showing fans how to make legendary butter beer and many other dishes and beverages mentioned in the books, at home.

Now that Harry Potter’s universe is not far away from getting its own cooking show, mastering the culinary skills with a more practical approach may become a real lifesaver for those who don’t get along with written recipes.
