Top 15 Must-See TV Series of 2024 on Prime, Netflix & Apple TV
From anticipated sequels to brand-new hits, see what the streaming services have to offer so far this year.
Last year's WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes came as a surprise (except to the unions themselves, whose patience with the industry's terrible working conditions had run out) and stalled the release of most movies and TV shows that were at least co-produced in the US. Now that the strikes have ended and the studios have been given the green light to resume production, 2024 seems pretty overwhelming with the sheer number of shows that have joined the streaming services' libraries.
So if you're not sure where to start, we've got you covered. Keep your subscriptions up to date, folks, because below are the top 15 TV series of 2024 so far.

A Little about These Shows
As we can see, among all the new series released so far, most of them have been produced under the auspices of Netflix: while the traditional broadcast networks only resumed their scripted projects in February, Netflix has been providing its users with new shows since January, and each of the series has been more or less warmly received by critics and viewers.
The highest-rated Netflix series on the list is the heartbreaking romantic drama One Day, based on the novel of the same name by David Nicholls. Meanwhile, the lowest-rated series is Avatar: The Last Airbender, a live-action adaptation of Nickelodeon's famous animated series, which is a bit of a bummer after the success of another live-action series, One Piece. However, Avatar remains a very solid option for entertaining binge-watching.
Also, as you may have noticed, two of the shows on the list are not brand new, as their first seasons were released in previous years, with Reacher Season 2 started at the end of 2023. However, their presence in the top 15 is more than justified as they continue to make waves in the media, with Reacher continuing to grow in popularity and Halo Season 2 coming as a pleasant surprise to many after the cold reviews of the first season.
So, dear friends, have you decided which show to start with?
