Too Many Details Point at Will Byers Having Powers For it Not To Be True
In Stranger Things, every little strange thing makes a difference.
The extent of Will Byers' connection to the Upside Down begs for fan theories about him having powers, just like Eleven or Henry Creel. Just how reasonable those fan theories are?
Well, there are plenty of little details in the show that might indicate that Will does indeed have powers, and they will be revealed in season 5. These little hints start emerging from season 1.
For instance, Will's character in the Dungeons & Dragons campaign, named Will the Wise, is a wizard. Out of everyone in the gang, he is the only one who has powers — and to survive in the Upside Down, Will would imagine himself as his character.
Stranger Things Season 2 Original Ending Was Much Darker
In season 2, doctors said that Will suffered from heavy brain damage and should be dead. However, just a few episodes later, when his family and friends manage to get the monster out of him, there is no brain damage there — how is that possible?
In season 3, Will is able to feel the Mind Flayer getting closer through the back of his neck. After season 4 premiered, many people noticed that this exact place is where Vecna has tentacles that connect him to the rest of the Upside Down.
Besides, numerous parallels between him and Vecna might indicate that both Will and Henry Creel are somewhat similar. If it so happens that Will is targeted by Vecna in the next season, he could "be the start of another generation of a naturally born child with abilities", one fan on Reddit suggested.
However, some fans argue that everything supernatural that Will has displayed so far is the result of him staying in the Upside Down for too long or contacting the Mind Flayer. Still, even after an entire season of being free of the Mind Flayer, Will keeps sensing it and somehow even knows that Vecna is not going to stop until he takes down every single member of the Hawkins gang.
With that in mind, it is increasingly difficult to wait for season 5, which is going to be the final chapter of the Stranger Things story. The premiere date is yet to be announced, but the writing for the season is already underway.
