This is Pam: What Has Jenna Fischer Been Up to After The Office?
That’s where she was all that time!
In spite of almost two decades having passed since the release of the first episode, The Office ’s legacy still lives on in the hearts of its fans. One of their most favorite onscreen employees, the charming receptionist Pam Beesly steals the whole romantic line of the sitcom. However, the Pam actress, Jenna Fischer, seems to stay out of the spotlight now.
It may come as a surprise, but over the course of 11 years that have passed since The Office’s conclusion, Fischer has made a number of far cries from the role which made her a star, with some of the projects with our favorite Pam actress being enlisted below.
Her first post-Office role was the one in Owen Wilson and Zach Galifianakis’ dramedy titled Are You Here (2013). This movie was received quite poorly, and the critics were sure it was a shameful waste of the actors’ talents, including Fischer’s comedy potential.
After the actress’ appearance in the mediocre romantic drama Kiss Me (2014), she eventually got the main role in another TV show that was an adaptation of the eponymous British show, just like The Office. The You, Me, and the Apocalypse dramedy series (2015) was clearly a remarkable title for Fischer’s portfolio.
Later the actress was busy guest-starring in a number of shows, like The Mysteries of Laura, The Grinder, Drunk History (all 2016) and The Guest Book (2017). However, she starred in Ben Stiller’s successful dramedy Brad’s Status (2017), and it gave rise to the fans’ hope to see Fischer in bigger projects.
Indeed, the actress finally moved on from the role of Pam with her leading role in the hit ABC sitcom Splitting Up Together (2018). There she convincingly portrayed Lena, a strong-willed perfectionist who decides to finally break up with her husband.
Apart from acting, in 2019 Fischer and her best friend and The Office co-star Angela Kinsey started the rewatch podcast, titled Office Ladies and dedicated to all things about the iconic sitcom. It’d be of much interest to every member of the fandom.
Even though no title starring Fischer was as much successful as The Office, there are certainly some must-watches for the fans of the Pam Beesley actress.
