This Easter Egg Connecting 'WandaVision' and 'Multiverse of Madness' Will Break Your Heart
...Aside from all the other things in 'Multiverse of Madness' that have already broken your heart if you have watched the movie.
Warning: the following article contains major spoilers for 'WandaVision' and 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness'.
The 'Doctor Strange' sequel had us all split between rooting for Wanda Maximoff and being terrified over the atrocities she is apparently capable of. Embarking on a quest to find the kids she created in Westview, the Scarlet Witch seemed to have stopped at nothing.
She would leave Kamar-Taj in ruins, and be perfectly fine with the idea of killing a teenage girl to obtain her powers. She would also attack the Illuminati group from another universe and kill them brutally.
Now let's remember the post-credit scene from 'WandaVision' – the one that got Wanda thinking that her kids are out there and need her help. Billie and Tommie screamed 'Mom, help! Please' as Wanda was studying the Darkhold, and then everything cut to black.
Well, it looks like the kids needed Wanda's help to save them from… Wanda.
Remember when the Scarlet Witch from our universe broke into the world where her variant lived peacefully with her kids in a cozy home? She would try and attack another Wanda just to get to her kids – but the twins did not embrace the scary version of their mother. They ran away and started throwing things at her, screaming the very familiar 'Mom, help! Please!' to the injured Wanda.
And many people found it sounding just too familiar.
If it is indeed an Easter egg left there deliberately, it's perhaps one of the most tragic MCU references. In any case, that's a full circle that just needs to sink in, huh? We're going to leave you to it.
