These 10 Great Shows Went on Just a Season Too Long
The fact that the show is long is not a problem at all. On the contrary, most viewers like to invest their time in characters and stories, so the idea of watching many seasons of content sounds appealing, negating any downsides a long show might bring.
However, sometimes a show overstays its welcome even with its loyal fans, especially when producers interfere with the creator's original vision in hopes of cashing in on the audience for just one more season.

As you've probably noticed, most of the shows on this list overstayed their welcome for one simple reason - the quality of their penultimate seasons. And even though "White Lotus" managed to prove itself worthy of being renewed for a second season, both "Big Little Lies" and "Flight Attendant" failed to impress in their second outings.
