There’s Only One The Office Character Who Wouldn’t End Up Fired In Real Life
Others wouldn’t make it past season 1 at best.
Summary:
- The Office is an NBC sitcom that aired from 2005 to 2013.
- The show is still considered to be one of the best workplace sitcoms, however, it doesn’t correlate with real life.
- Fans believe, in reality most characters aside from Oscar would’ve been fired much earlier than the show ended.
Anyone who has seen The Office knows that it has the most chaotic working conditions imaginable. Filmed in the style of a mockumentary, this show is the perfect example of a place that will make you love your job ten times more after watching just a few episodes.
Of course, the character most blamed for the way things are going at Dunder Mifflin is Michael Scott. Portrayed by Steve Carell, this man is a perfect example of incompetence, lack of manners and complete disregard for others in the form of a human being. The only good thing about him is his salesmanship, and that is how he got to such a high position.
However, the longer you watch the show, the more you realize that Michael wasn't the only person to blame for everything that went on in the show. In fact, Michael was just part of a huge problem. To be honest, it's a real miracle that this branch of the company lasted as long as it did.
Which The Office Character Is The Best At Their Job?
While there is no need to list all of Michael's atrocities that would land him in the HR office on his first day in any real life company, others are not much better. Some of the characters, like Jim, who is constantly pranking Dwight, would be eliminated for their behavioral issues, while others would be eliminated for simply not being competent at their jobs.
Kevin and his lack of basic math skills, which often led to financial fraud, could probably even land him in jail, just like Ryan. However, the former was very comfortable in his position and the latter was rehired by Michael no matter what he did.
Phyllis' list of offenses starts with sexual harassment (remember that "50 Shades" moment?) and ends with workplace violence, and Creed can't even name his job.
So who's the one person who really deserves to stay and would probably do just as well in real life?
Oscar Martinez.
Not only would he be completely untouchable after the outing and harassment incident, he was actually the only decent employee Dunder Mifflin had seen in years. While everyone else would slowly be fired one by one, Oscar would probably finish his 3-month paid vacation and return to the empty office.
