"The Story Is Unresolved": Kiefer Sutherland Is Open To Return To '24'
Fox's mega-hit spy drama '24' has left an undeniable mark on all subsequent TV thrillers, and lead actor Kiefer Sutherland is eager to reprise his role as Jack Bauer once again.
The original series ran for nine seasons, each with 24 episodes and covering a day filled with government conspiracies, terrorist threats and teeth-kicking action. '24' won an Emmy Award for Drama Series in 2006, and each season drew large viewership numbers. The series ended back in 2010, but it still has many fans who want to see their favorite counterterrorist return for more suspenseful adventures.
Looks like Sutherland himself is pondering an option of returning to his famed role. In recent interview with GQ Canadian actor expressed his opinion that the show's story was unresolved, and he would be happy to see '24' return to the small screen.
"I have learned that you're just better off not to be definitive about your answer of whether you will do something or not do something. I love playing that character. I do believe the story is unresolved. If something were to be written that made sense to me and that I thought was going to contribute to the franchise then I would be behind it," Sutherland said.
Let's hope Fox listens to Sutherland, because the fandom is 100% ready to see Jack Bauer return.
