The Flash Premiere Saw Ezra Miller's First Public Comments Amid Assault Allegations
For the longest time, Ezra Miller's been staying under the radar, but with the premiere of The Flash, they had to finally make a public appearance.
Everyone and their family dog have heard about the massive controversies that have been surrounding Ezra Miller in the past years.
With multiple allegations of disorderly conduct as well as assaults, violent threats, harassment, and whatever that horrible story with underage Tokata Iron Eyes was… It's safe to say that Ezra's reputation is far from pristine.
While Ezra's questionable adventures started back in 2020 (that's the latest possible estimate), the actor's been withholding public comments and trying to stay under the radar.
Miller pleaded no contest to the allegations but claimed that they were non-binary, had serious mental issues, and needed help in terms of undergoing treatment.
That was pretty much it. No comments have ever followed, and Ezra was remaining quiet even while shooting The Flash …
But all things must end, and Miller's public non-existence ended with the premiere of the movie which saw the actor's first public appearance in almost two years. Of course, they had to somehow address their past.
At the LA premiere of their new movie, Ezra Miller received a rockstar welcome.
After being introduced by The Flash's director Andy Muschietti, the actor made a big show of gratitude to Warner Bros. and DC Studios bosses who lent Ezra "their grace and discernment and care in the context of [Ezra's] life and in bringing this moment to fruition."
Director Muschietti had their fair share of praise from the actor, too.
"I love you, maestro. I think you're amazing, and I think your work is monumental," Ezra theatrically proclaimed.
While the obvious stage-level commitment to the movie and the general show of gratitude were nice to have, it seems like we won't be getting any more out of Ezra Miller.
Admittedly, they're returning to the shadows for now as it's been announced that the actor wouldn't make more public appearances for the movie in the future.
Apparently, Miller's not keen on addressing their allegations or any of the past few years' events openly and wants to keep it that way.
It doesn't seem to matter all too much, though, as the public is already passing its judgment: despite the highest praise from the industry's A-listers, The Flash is estimated to have earned around $70M in its first weekend which is rather underwhelming considering the hype.
