The Contestant Who Is Likeliest to Win The Voice Season 22 Revealed
With just about two weeks to go until the winner of The Voice is revealed, the competition is hotting up and – according to Charlie Mason at TV Line – predicting the winner just got a whole lot harder.
Prior to Monday's show, Parijita Bastola had been a firm favourite with many. And to be fair to the teenage singing sensation did nothing to harm her chances with her most recent performance. But the standard was immense throughout and there's certainly no outright favourite when it comes to working out who will win The Voice.
In addition to Parijita's emotional rendition of Alessia Cara's "Scars to Your Beautiful", there were outstanding performances from Morgan Myles (Team Camila Cabello) and Justin Aaron (Team Gwen Stefani).
Team Legend's Omar Jose Cardona has got to be in the running too, thanks to a series of powerful performances. And as for Kim Cruse (another Team Legend star)…well she earned herself a standing ovation from all four judges with a stunning version of "Always on My Mind" that may very well always be on the minds of everyone who witnessed it.
But the great performances didn't stop there. Surely Bodie has to be in with a shout just for showing the world you really can sing "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" without having to adopt a Scottish accent. Oh, and he's a pretty decent singer too – as he's shown us on multiple occasions.
But – and whisper it – Charlie Mason is actually predicting that Bryce Leatherwood might come out on top.
Now, that may sound just a little crazy when you compare the country singer to some of the other powerhouses and soulful singers that have already been mentioned. But, let's face it, we all love a bit of country, don't we?
Leatherwood, of course, is something a bit different from what we might traditionally associate with this kind of show. But as Mason points out, "he's not bad at all."
According to TVLine public poll "Who will win Season 22 of The Voice?" results, it's Bryce Leatherwood (34.38%) vs bodie (32.7%) competing for the win, with others not even close. Parijita Bastola made top 3 with just 11.24% of votes.
Ultimately, we just don't know who will win the show. And in many ways, it doesn't matter. This has been a series teeming with talent and great performances. Yes, there's the little matter of $100,000 and a recording contract. But that's for the contestants to worry about.
As fans of the show, all we have to do is tune in, be entertained and applaud a worthy winner whoever that might be. And something tells me that it won't just be the victor that lands themselves a recording contract!
