The Buccaneers: All You Need to Know About Apple TV's 'New Bridgerton'
For those who can’t get enough of corsets and reverences.
When Bridgerton debuted on Netflix three years ago, it became an instant hit. Everyone was talking about the gorgeous setting, the amazingly cast characters, and the complicated dramatic romances.
So after the network’s success, it became clear that shows like that are much needed. That may be the reason why a few years later Apple TV+ had decided to create its own Bridgerton-like show, The Buccaneers.
There are not that many details about the upcoming series for now, but we already know some things. The show is based on the novel by Edith Wharton and was already brought to screens almost 30 years ago in BBС miniseries.
But what about the new show? Well, while we are waiting for Bridgerton season 3 to be released, it’s the best time to find a new obsession. The Buccaneers will follow a group of young American ladies headed to London in order to find a perfect husband. But “perfect” in the 1870’s is nothing more than a wealthy aristocrat. Sounds promising, huh?
The show will premiere on the platform on November 8, and there will be 8 episodes in the first season. The most recognizable name in the cast is Christina Hendricks, who will be portraying Mrs. St. George. There are also Kristine Froseth, Alisha Boe, and many more.
The plot will focus on the girls trying to create their own bright futures while shaking up Victorian London with their American fun-loving attitude.
“Sent to secure husbands and titles, the buccaneers’ hearts are set on much more than that, and saying ‘I do’ is just the beginning”. That’s what Apple TV+ has to say about its upcoming show in the description.
Well, it looks like we are going to get some drama along with new steamy romances. Let's see what Apple TV has in store for us.
