The Bear Fans Fear Season 3 Is Already Making a Huge Mistake
The show promises to come back to its roots, but it’s not what many would like to see.
While The Bear ’s season 3 is nearly a month away from hitting Hulu, fans keep counting days till its release as the show has already teased big changes coming in the next installment.
The storyline so far was torn between Carmy’s personal struggles and his determination about turning his brother’s diner into a haute cuisine restaurant, but the third season is set to finally choose the focus it will follow.
Though it seems to be a pretty good chance for the series to go back to what it all started with, The Bear may still lose some of its charm if such a drastic shift is to happen.
The Bear’s first season introduced a brand new team for Carmy’s late brother’s eatery, and the work got its full swing as the season kept showing the characters focused more on their common goal rather than on developing their relationships with each other.
It all worked great until the second season came along and proved that the team of strangers turned into a group of people who started caring deeply for each other. At that very moment The Bear suddenly put its focus apart from the kitchen dwelling more on the characters’ personal problems and background stories.
The show’s upcoming third season may still handle this double focus by proving that Carmy’s colleagues, who now are also his friends, are as determined as he is to finally get the restaurant of their common dream, and their friendship and love for each other will only reinforce this narrative.
Despite that, the chances for such a turn of events are not that high, as The Bear’s leading actor Jeremy Allen White previously revealed that season 3 will definitely be more about the kitchen than about anything else.
With all the big anticipation coming in the next season’s way, it would still be a shame if The Bear is back to the strict work routine with no attention for the characters’ personality at all.
Though season 2 may have lacked those intense scenes in the restaurant’s kitchen, it nonetheless shed some light on Carmy’s love struggles and his family issues, while also diving deeper into Sydney’s relationship with her father.
Given that literally all these stories were left for season 3 to finish, a balanced mix of personal exploration and kitchen energy is what fans need right now.
