Superman & Lois Will Be Back With a Bang for the Final Season, Star Teases
Expectations are high.
The CW's streak of original series cancellations has finally come to an end, and now fans know the fate of their favorite shows for sure. Unfortunately, not many of them have survived the rebranding and will return to the network at the beginning of the 2024/25 broadcast season.
And even if they premiere new seasons this fall, they might be the last, as is the case with Superman & Lois. The show will say goodbye to its fans with a season that already promises many exciting moments.
Is Superman & Lois Canceled on The CW?
Starring Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent and Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Superman & Lois was one of The CW's most popular DC adaptations. However, like every other show the network had within the same realm, it got canceled after the rebranding.
What the show's creators were able to negotiate with the network was one more season to wrap up the story and finish all the arcs they had begun to explore in the past. With so many characters introduced to this universe and so little time to give them a proper ending, there will be a lot of pressure on the writers to deliver the best quality scripts.
Elizabeth Tulloch, however, isn't afraid of the fans' reactions to what's in store for them this season. In fact, she is very curious to see how everyone will take the beginning, which is exciting in itself. Speaking to ScreenRant she shared her thoughts on the beginning of the upcoming season.
“You guys are not going to believe the first episode. It’s bananas. It’s emotional. What they did was based on one of the comics. It was a very bold decision on their part to do this and to pull it off for the first episode of season 4,” she said.
No matter how vague the statement is, it already has the fandom excited. The idea that the writers will put as much work into the final season as they have in the past is very promising.
Besides, Tulloch wasn't the first to praise the final installment of Superman & Lois, The CW boss already mentioned the amount of effort that went into the series when explaining its fall premiere. So, everything points to the show having one of the most impressive finales The CW has seen so far.
