Superman & Lois Casts Netflix’s Avatar Star to Go out With a Bang
Clark Kent has never been closer to failure.
Summary:
No matter what you think of The CW's rebranding, you have to deal with the fact that the new network is here to stay, with a new ambition to join the 'big three' of US television. And unfortunately for all of us who are used to watching the most insane young adult sci-fi series on the network, they're not likely to lead it to that kind of success.
By focusing its attention and financial resources on westerns, sports dramas and, of course, the brand new procedural Wild Cards, the network has all but ended its superhero era. The last one standing, Superman & Lois, took the longest to get renewed and is now taking the longest to get canceled.
Returning in the fall of 2024, the show's fourth and final season promises to do justice to the beloved franchise and celebrate everything The CW has stood for for so long. Even the budget cuts don't seem to be getting in the way of production as much as expected. On the contrary, Superman & Lois is only adding more people to its final bow.
Superman & Lois Latest Cast Updates
After the show was renewed on the condition that the team doubled the cast, many viewers panicked, thinking that the final season would be bleak compared to all the previous ones. 7 regular cast members were cut completely, and only one, Michael Cudlitz, who portrays Lex Luthor, was promoted to regular.
However, as it turns out, Lex Luthor won't be alone in his quest to take down Clark Kent in season 4. He'll be joined by a loyal Lexcorp scientist, the cutthroat and very perceptive Amanda McCoy.
The character will be portrayed by the star of another adaptation that has been making the rounds on the Internet lately. Yvonne Chapman, best known for her portrayal of the Avatar Kyoshi in Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender, will join the cast of Superman & Lois for the recurring role in the final season.
Although there is no information on how many episodes the actress will appear in, it is more than likely that she will be seen in some of the most important moments.
In the comics, it was McCoy who discovered Superman's true identity and told Luthor, so this could be one of the turning points of the upcoming season. To see where the story will take the character and how Superman & Lois will wrap up the journey, be sure to keep an eye out for all the news and updates so you don't miss the premiere date.
