Stranger Things Stage Play Might Show Vecna's Secret Ally Who Was Right Under Our Noses
This Stranger Things character could've been buddy-buddy with Vecna all along.
Almost a year ago it was announced that a spin-off Stranger Things stage play was in the works. On March 1, 2023, the title of the play was revealed — Stranger Things: The First Shadow.
The play will be set in Hawkins, 1959, and will be part of the Stranger Things universe. According to the official website, the play will take us to the beginning of the Stranger Things story – and may hold the key to its end.
It is also confirmed that we will see young Jim Hopper and Henry Creel (Vecna) on stage. The teaser also showed an unknown young woman. It is unclear who she is, but she's certainly playing a big role in the story.
A Stranger Things fan shared an extremely intriguing and actually plausible theory on Twitter. The theory suggests that the girl we see in the teaser is none other than Ms. Kelly.
For those who don't remember (it is actually easy to forget this character), Ms. Kelley is a guidance counselor at Hawkins High School, who appeared in season 4.
Ms. Kelley might be in close relationships with Victor. Probably, she will fall in love with him, and will remain his ally even when he becomes Vecna.
Remember how Chrissy and Max were meeting with Ms. Kelley? They both later become Vecna's victims. It may indicate that Ms. Kelly is intentionally delivering him traumatized students.
It would be merely an intriguing speculation if it wasn't supported by some solid facts.
Firstly, Ms. Kelley is seen wearing a key necklace with a clock. If you forgot, clocks are Vecna's trademark. It can be Victor's gift to Kelley, and she wears it in memory of him.
Interestingly enough, the teaser literally features the following message: "It might hold the key to what comes next..." And what's completely mindblowing is that Kelley literally spells "Key" if you take out the letters "El".
If El (Eleven) hadn't stepped in, Henry would've totally won right away. It may imply that getting to Ms. Kelley will be the crucial "key" in season 5.
The theory sounds really plausible, but we will have to wait until November, when the stage play premieres to find out for sure.
