'Stranger Things' Spinoffs Confirmed? Here's What Duffer Brothers Say
Netflix's biggest supernatural show is nearing its end, with final 5 season looming at the horizon. But it looks like series creators are pondering expanding their universe with some possible spin-offs.
Talking to SFX Magazine (via GamesRadar), Ross and Matt Duffer broke some serious news – they're totally fine with possible spin-offs for their hit show. They'll need an exciting idea to justify the existence of a potential new series (or movie, perhaps), but they're sure they already have something on their minds.
"We haven't told anyone our plans! Not even Netflix! We have some ideas. In terms of if we were to do any sort of a spin-off, or any continuation of Stranger Things, for us the bar was always, 'Is the idea exciting enough that we feel the pull of wanting to do it again?'," Matt Duffer said.
"I do think we have something that could be pretty exciting. So, we'll see…," Ross Duffer said.
Fans certainly respect this careful approach to the legacy of the beloved series and are already trying to guess what these secret spin-offs might be about.
