'Stranger Things' Season 5 Soundtrack Must Include These Bangers, Fans Say
What classic song will resurge to popularity next? It's up for 'Stranger Things' to decide.
After the tremendous success that Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill' and Metallica's 'Master of Puppets' enjoyed with the premiere of 'Stranger Things 4', fans are already assembling their dream soundtrack for the fifth and final season.
Music has been an essential part of 'Stranger Things', but it was season 4 that fully demonstrated the show's power in making a song go viral. There are now a lot of tracks that fans want to be as popular as 'Running Up That Hill' after they accompany some dramatic moments in 'Stranger Things'.
One of the most requested songs is 'Everybody Wants to Rule The World' by Tears for Fears. A 1985 hit, it fits perfectly into the 'Stranger Things' timeline.
The band has another 1985 classic, 'Head Over Heels', which many fans want to hear in an emotional scene between Mike Wheeler and Will Byers – should one be included in the show, of course.
And, of course, how could anyone forget about the ultimate 80s anthem?

Other people demand to hear Twenty One Pilots in 'Stranger Things', although this pitch seems to be unlikely because the band is clearly not from the 80s. Speculations that the Ohio band might be a part of 'Stranger Things' soundtrack in the future emerged when one of their concerts featured a clip from the show with the caption "Music can save everyone".
…But do we know for sure that 'Stranger Things 5' still takes place in the 80s? Or should we brace for a whole different music era?

Some people have their fingers crossed for the year 1989, just so that Stevie Nicks' 'Rooms on Fire' or 'Long Way to Go' are featured on the soundtrack.
We still have plenty of time to assemble the dream soundtrack for season 5 before it actually arrives, because the Duffer brothers are yet to confirm when the shooting of the final chapter starts.
