The star of two hit TV shows was asked about the similarities between his characters' situations.

Pedro Pascal is currently experiencing a surge in popularity. Starring in two hit TV shows at the same time, he portrays rather similar characters, which has certainly been noticed by fans.

Joel Miller of HBO's The Last of Us and Din Djarin of Disney 's The Mandalorian are both loners, forged by all the hardships in their lives. And both end up becoming father figures to orphans with unique characteristics.

In The Last of Us, a TV adaptation of the 2013 video game of the same name, Joel is a smuggler in a post-apocalyptic world destroyed by a fungal infection pandemic.

He is tasked with protecting Ellie, a teenage girl immune to the infection, as they travel across the United States.

In The Mandalorian, a show set in the Star Wars universe, Din is a space bounty hunter who encounters Grogu, an alien child who is extremely powerful with the Force. However, these children are very different.

While Ellie is a rough, sarcastic teenager who is not to be trifled with (which is obvious considering the show's setting), Grogu is a cute and cuddly baby who is always curious about his surroundings and only occasionally shows off his enormous power.

The similarities between the two Pedro's characters have already spawned countless jokes and memes online, with fans saying that Pascal collects orphans like Pokemon in the projects he stars in.

In a recent interview for Entertainment Weekly, he was asked about his thoughts on his two famous sidekicks. What if they met, how would they get along?

"I feel like they would walk off into the sunset together, to be honest with you," Pascal said. "They'd be best friends."

Even though this crossover is highly unlikely to happen, it was still interesting for fans to hear the actor's personal opinion on the matter.

"Grogu could be best friends with most protagonists," Reddit user Cheetah0630 said, with another user noting that "baby frog protagonists" should be careful anyway.

The Last of Us season 1 finale is scheduled for release on March 12, 2023, and the show has already been picked up for a second season. The Mandalorian season 3 is currently streaming on Disney Plus.
