It's hard to imagine Rihanna being associated with the word "nerd" in any way, much less a nerdy sitcom. And Rihanna's fans have nothing to worry about just yet as it doesn't seem like it's about to change any time soon.

But what if we told you that The Big Bang Theory 's star Jim Parsons and Rihanna were not only friends but also close enough for Parsons to do something that would annoy the singer? That's right, Parsons developed one annoying habit, and you'll never guess what it is!

Not many people would expect to see Jim Parsons and Rihanna mentioned in the same sentence. In our minds, they come from completely different worlds. Parsons is known for his brilliant, sarcastic, and geeky portrayal of Sheldon Cooper on TBBT and Rihanna is a globally renowned singer and business mogul.

However, the pair has been venturing into different projects, and they happened to cross paths in 2015 thanks to a project they had in common – a Dreamworks animated movie called Home, to which they both lent their voices. In the movie, the characters become friends as they spend more time together, and that's exactly what happened to both stars in real life, too.

As part of the movie's promotional tour, Parsons stopped by a few talk shows and revealed some details about what being friends with Rihanna is really like. When he appeared on The Talk, he said they had a lot of fun doing press and that Rihanna is the best listener who is "not so self-concerned that she has her head up her butt and can't listen."

When Parsons made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, however, it came out that he had one habit he realized must have annoyed the talented singer. What exactly did he do? He serenaded her with her own songs, of course!

Parsons disclosed that while doing press with Steve Martin and Rihanna, her songs kept coming into his head whenever he was around her; needless to say, the singer kinda found that bit annoying.

"I keep singing, like, 'Yellow diamonds in…' I mean, just out of nowhere I'll be doing it," he hilariously revealed. "And first off, her reaction is always…she'll look at me and she goes, 'That gives me chills, and not in a good way.'"

Parsons also explained that he thought it might have been a compliment at first but later had a realization thinking, "What if she was doing 'Bazinga!' the whole time?"
