These villains deserve to be in the spotlight.

With the advent of new Batman stories came new villains. The Joker, Two-Face, the Riddler, the Penguin, and many others have all become regulars in the Batman movies.

But among Batman's adversaries, there are still characters who, despite their bright images, have never appeared in any of the films.

1. Deacon Blackfire

Blackfire is rightly considered one of Batman's most dangerous enemies. In the comic Batman: The Cult, the charismatic leader of a bloody religious cult used his followers to gain complete control of Gotham, cutting the city off from the rest of the world.

Blackfire was then able to capture and zombify Batman himself, temporarily transforming him into one of his most loyal followers. The Dark Knight struggled to regain his sanity and defeat the cult's mad leader, turning his army of homeless against him.

2. Killer Moth

The villain known as Killer Moth tries to imitate Batman as much as possible. His own lair, modeled after the Batcave, the Mothmobile, whose name clearly alludes to the Batmobile, and even the public image of the millionaire philanthropist were borrowed from the Dark Knight.

But unlike Bruce Wayne, Killer Moth guards the criminal world and protects the interests of bandits and villains, becoming a full-fledged "anti-Batman," a dark reflection of a respectable superhero.

But like any counterfeit, Killer Moth can hardly compete with the original – almost every encounter with Batman ends in a humiliating defeat for Killer Moth.

3. Man-Bat

This character is, in a sense, a grotesque "reflection" of Batman himself. If Bruce Wayne's alter ego is just a man in a bat suit, then Dr. Kirk Langstrom's second personality is literally a giant mutant bat.

The reason for this transformation is a failed experiment with a serum that was supposed to give people echolocation abilities. At the same time, it cannot be said that the character is definitely negative – in human form, Dr. Langstrom is very altruistic and has a sincere desire to help others, and also appears to be a loving and caring family man.

4. Great White Shark

Warren White was a businessman who embezzled millions of dollars through various scams. During his trial, he successfully feigned insanity, resulting in his incarceration in the Arkham Asylum.

White's relationship with the inmates did not work out, and he found himself locked in the cell where Mr. Freeze had been held. The subzero temperature had an irreversible effect on White's appearance: he lost his hair, lips, nose and some fingers, and his skin turned chalky white.

However, Warren, who had already lost his mind during his stay in Arkham, was more than satisfied with these changes. He began calling himself the Great White Shark and even sharpened his teeth to match his new image. With his extensive knowledge of finance, Shark quickly became one of the most powerful crime lords in Gotham City, running his empire from the asylum.

5. Doctor Phosphorus

This insane mutant, capable of manipulating radiation, was the result of an accident that befell Dr. Alex Sartorius during the construction of a nuclear power plant.

Transformed into a metahuman burning with atomic fire, Phosphorus vowed revenge on the people of Gotham for his fate – after all, they were the ones who had denied him permission to build a power plant in the city, forcing Sartorius to move the construction to an unsafe location, thus transforming him into a mutant.

The villain's plan was to poison all of the city's drinking water, but fortunately for the citizens, Batman intervened in time to neutralize the mad metahuman.
