Netflix Viewers Rediscover a Forgotten 2023 Drama, And It’s Everyone’s Binge-Watch

With all the myriads of movies and shows hitting the biggest streaming services daily, there’s no wonder that for some of them it will take a while to be discovered by a bigger audience, and Netflix proves it like nothing else.

Though it’s been some time since it hit Netflix back in 2023, a Mexican crime drama show Pact of Silence finally starts making its way to the list of the streaming’s hits with so far no position in top 10, but surely with an intention to get one.

The unfairly forgotten series is currently being pushed by Netflix’s viewers who can’t stop raving about the show’s compelling plot.

Directed by Carlos Villegas Rosales, Pact of Silence follows Brenda Rey, portrayed by Camila Valero, whose tough childhood of a kid abandoned by her own mother and thus forced to survive on her own didn’t impede her to become a big social media influencer with all the connections and resources that every modern person dreams of.

Having left the poverty and misery behind, Brenda still feels a need to bring down all the women involved in her hidden birth conspiracy, and with the help of her manager she’s determined to make every single one of them pay for their deed.

Upon its release back in October, Pact of Silence received a relatively warm welcome from the audience, getting a solid score of 71% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Apart from that, the show didn’t get any significant promo back then, but now it’s surely getting a second life as Netflix’s viewers keep sharing their raving reviews in the social media.

Despite being a foreign show that didn’t come from any of Netflix’s big creators, Pact of Silence is still getting a lot of love from the English-speaking audience with some of them noting that even the series’ voice-over wasn’t that irritating thanks to the storyline’s intrigue.

Many others also admitted they were staying up all night binge-watching the series with no desire to stop.
