NCIS Spinoff Huge Casting Update Teases Parental Troubles for Tony and Ziva

Things are becoming clearer about NCIS: Tony & Ziva now that it nears its release time, and the recent update proves that the couple will have yet another major problem that has nothing to do with their risky missions.

Following NCIS’ former Special Agents Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David on their missions across Europe, the spinoff is set to dive deeper into the couple’s personal relationships and struggles as a family, especially since they just got reunited after years spent apart.

Despite both Tony and Ziva being adamant about continuing to carry out dangerous missions whatever it might take, they now have another important aspect to consider, and this is what may become the biggest issue for them to resolve.

According to Variety’s reports, after months of constant searching, NCIS: Tony & Ziva has finally found a perfect fit for the lead characters’ 12-year-old daughter Tali.

Young actress Isla Gie has officially landed the role of the troubled preteen girl who “is sick of being treated like a child. She’s more intuitive and vigilant than the adults around her give her credit for and she’s ready to prove this to them.”

The spinoff has also added a bunch of new actors to its cast, including Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Nassima Benchicou, Julian Ovenden, Terence Maynard, Lara Rossi and James D’Arcy, finally unveiling some more details about those mysterious roles announced earlier.

According to the report, Osinski is set to portray Boris, “a Russian ex-pat and a brilliant computer hacker, one of the best and most elusive in the world. Boris lives outside the law and polite society and enjoys the anonymity and freedom that affords.”

Benchichou will play Martine, “a former French intelligence agent with the Directorate-General for External Security (DGSE). She is elegant and cunning, playing both sides of any conflict masterfully to protect her own self-interest.”

Lastly, Rossi will show up in the spinoff as Sophie, “a highly skilled professional with a background in the Special Air Service (SAS), Sophie brings a unique blend of maternal warmth and hyper-vigilance to her role as a caretaker for Tali.”

Considering that now Tali’s character got an official description, it may come as yet another proof of Tony and Ziva’s daughter being one more key character in the entire story.

This was once addressed by Tony’s actor Michael Weatherly who stated that in the upcoming show nothing would be more important to the couple than their daughter and her well-being.

Now that Tali is confirmed to be a rebellious preteen, she may indeed give some more heat to her parents and bring much more compelling twists and turns into the plot line.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva is set to premiere on Paramount+ sometime later this year.
