The long wait is even longer now.

Fall is upon us, and CBS announcements regarding its approaching next TV season are coming along.

A couple of months before finally kicking it off with exciting arrivals and fan-favorite shows’ new seasons, the network dropped an official schedule for fans to check out, yet it’s still one more reason to keep holding a grudge against the TV giant.

With the extremely popular shows now canceled and CBS’ complete indifference towards its viewers’ pleas to bring those series back, the network caused everyone’s discontent once again since its timing for the new TV season doesn’t really seem right.

According to CBS’ official announcement, NCIS: Origins is now set to air starting October 21 at 10pm, with the first episode premiere on October 14 at 8pm.

The brand new NCIS spinoff isn’t the only one unlucky to start its run in October as, judging by the network’s schedule, now all the current shows are set to come back to the screens in October and not in early September as it used to be.

Such a big shift in CBS’ timing for the new season and probably the following ones just couldn’t be left unnoticed by viewers who were quick to unite in their common complaint about CBS’ deliberate decision to make fans wait even longer.

On Reddit, a whole new discussion was started once the network dropped its schedule, with one user claiming that “Damn I'm old, I remember when premiere week was always the week after school started in September.”

Some others also addressed the issue, recalling that CBS used to start its fall TV season in mid-September and suggesting that such a change might be due to the modern shows’ shorter run compared to other old series that had left the network’s schedule long ago.

Apart from NCIS: Origins, NCIS season 22 is also set to premiere on October 14 at 8pm, with a change of time slot to 9pm starting October 21.

The Big Bang Theory franchise will return with its new spinoff Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, premiering on October 17 at 8pm, followed by Elsbeth season 2, the first episode of which will air the same day at 10pm.

CBS’ action drama Tracker will become the latest arrival, kicking its second season off on October 27 at 8:30pm.
