Yes, it's another superhero project, but it has something to keep you glued to the screen.

The second season of the new project about the most popular superhero – My Adventures with Superman – has come to an end. The animated series focuses on the classic image of Superman and obvious clichés.

It seems that what can be said about the hero? However, the series is beating all ratings, and art with a short-haired Lois Lane is spreading across social networks. So what hooked the viewers?

What is My Adventures with Superman About?

As a child, Clark discovers unusual powers. We all know what they are, but the hero spends the first season trying to unravel the mystery of his origins.

Most of the story focuses on the life of twenty-year-old Kent (voiced by The Boys star Jack Quaid), who is interning at the Daily Planet. There Clark meets and falls in love with Lois Lane. However, Lois is obsessed with the idea of becoming a famous journalist and takes on assignments that put her life in danger.

Superman saves her from every risky situation, after which Lois chooses a new goal – to expose the hero by interviewing him. Clark himself is trying to keep his identity secret, accept his feelings for a colleague, and understand the nature of his power.

At the same time, Task Force X appears in the city, threatening its safety and the life of the Kryptonian himself.

My Adventures with Superman Brings Nothing New, But It's Not a Bad Thing

There's been no shortage of Superman projects lately, but viewers haven't seen an animated series featuring him as the main character in a long time.

In My Adventures with Superman, Clark is the center of attention, but what could there be but another retelling of a familiar plot? Spoiler: almost nothing.

But the project has enough good points to keep you tuning in from episode to episode, laughing at good jokes and feeling nostalgic for the shows of your childhood. The latter is largely due to the animation, which is stylized as anime: with simplified facial expressions and soft shades.

My Adventures with Superman Resembles Smallville

Clark is an insecure guy who doesn't really know anything about himself. The only thing he is sure of is his duty to help people. Not because he has to, but because such great power should be used for good. He differs from the typical image of Superman not only by his lack of pathos, but also by his inexperience in everything that has to do with fighting evil.

Kent's fears and actions bring him closer to us. In this way, the series resembles Smallville, where the young Superman becomes a superhero only in the final episode and gradually discovers his powers and tries to help others.

Superman in My Adventures with Superman is not a god with the perfect face of Henry Cavill, but a human being who is prone to making mistakes, blaming himself, worrying a lot and being afraid.
