'Multiverse of Madness' Writer Reveals a Superhero Who Didn't Make it Into The Movie
If there's one thing 'Multiverse of Madness' had in abundance, it's cameos. But it turns out there could have been even more of them.
The diverse array of superhero cameos could have included Deadpool as well, but his presence, unlike that of Reed Richards, Captain Peggy Carter and Professor Xavier, did not make the 'Multiverse of Madness' crew believe that it was the right thing.
"Yeah, we talked about it," Michael Waldron, the movie's writer, told ComicBook in an interview. "I think we talked about everything in this movie. So, [it] would've been crazy to not raise that, but it ultimately didn't feel like... It just didn't feel the right place. But yeah, of course we talked about it."
Before the Doctor Strange sequel's release, fans bombarded Ryan Reynolds with questions regarding his potential participation in the movie, but the actor promised he was not involved. Although we know how often such promises end up being a lie, this time the actor was indeed telling the truth.
In 'Multiverse of Madness', we got to see Mr. Fantastic, Black Bolt, Professor Xavier, Captain Peggy Carter as the First Avenger, and Maria Rambeau as Captain Marvel. The majority of the cameos were spoiled in the TV spots and trailers, but fans still enjoyed the nod to other Marvel characters in the Doctor Strange sequel – even though this nod quickly ended tragically for, well, pretty much everyone.
