Missy's Post-Big Bang Theory Fate Gives Hope For Her Young Sheldon Arc
In The Big Bang Theory prequel, Sheldon's sister doesn't have it easy.
Young Sheldon season 6 has left us with Sheldon's sister, Missy Cooper, entering her rebellious phase. While Missy is clearly not as intelligent as Sheldon (as if anyone is...), she still has everything to settle in her life, but the word "rebellious" suggests the young lady will definitely have a long road to stability in her adult life.
However, while fans are mentally preparing themselves for Missy piercing her belly button or maybe even starting fights, it seems that Young Sheldon itself has already made sure everything is going to be alright for Sheldon's sister.
In the episode titled A Pager, A Club, and A Cranky Bag of Crinkles, adult Sheldon is heard narrating as always, and one of the things he reveals about his sister is her post-Nobel prize fate.
It turns out that after the events of The Big Bang Theory finale, Missy managed to build a happy life and surrounded herself with friends.
It's only fair for this lady to get happiness after all, because her childhood was definitely not the easiest one. She had to deal with the death of her father, George Sr., even though we are yet to see it in Young Sheldon (and some fans still hope the show manages to avoid it somehow).
Besides, in The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon revealed that it took Missy a long time to actually graduate high school — and we can't help but wonder if that's connected with her rebellious phase in any way.
Anyway, now that we know for sure that everything ends well for Missy, we are more than ready to join the young lady in her bad-girl era in Young Sheldon season 7! The premiere date is yet to be scheduled, however.
