Get ready to be amazed by the upcoming masterpiece starring our favorite actress.

Last year every cinephil seemed to be blown away by the enigmatic tale about a woman on her way to understand herself after she is brought back to life via brain transplant. Poor Things was one of the most critically acclaimed hits of 2023, if not the biggest one.

The main key to the success of this movie was, undoubtedly, Emma Stone ’s obvious talent for delivering both comedy and drama performances. It is also proved by her roles in Birdman (2014), La La Land ( 2016), and the period hit The Favourite (2018).

If you’re a fan of the Poor Things actress who enjoys her multi-genre acting, here is some good news for you. Stone is set to star in a brand-new dramedy that is just around the corner to reach theaters, and you should definitely see it this weekend.

The new must-watch appears to be an anthology of 3 different, yet loosely connected stories. Here we’ll observe an office worker who struggles to take charge of his own life; a policeman who doubts that his wife, who has recently returned after being reported missing, is an imposter; and a woman in her pursuit of a macabre religious mission.

This synopsis seems extremely sophisticated, but it’s the very point: the film promises to give you enough space for your own analysis and judgment. It’d be of much interest for those who liked the mysterious tone of Stone’s most recent flick, and here’s why.

It turns out that the upcoming movie is also directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, The Favourite and Poor Things filmmaker, in his third collaboration with the La La Land star. This time he decided to return to a more bizarre narration, that was typical of his earlier works, like Dogtooth (2009) and Colin Farrell-starring The Lobster (2015).

Titled Kinds of Kindness, this black comedy anthology is going to feature some other actors from Poor Things, - Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley - with Jesse Plemons (Civil War ), Joe Alwyn (The Favourite) and Hunter Schafer (Euphoria ) joining the cast.

The movie is claimed to go progressively weirder from the first story to the third one, but it doesn’t forget to speak about such essential things, as power, love and faith.

Don’t miss Emma Stone’s brilliant performance that would deserve yet another Oscar, as Kinds of Kindness is coming to theaters already tomorrow, on June 21.
