Marvel's Biggest Star is a Huge Potterhead: "I Know More Than JK Rowling!"
Tom Holland is obsessed with Harry Potter and has proven it.
At 26, everyone's favorite Spider-Man, Tom Holland, has been a part of many successful projects, including The Impossible, the MCU franchises, Pixar's Onward, and most recently, Uncharted, where he starred opposite Mark Wahlberg.
It would seem that he has done everything that an actor could ever want to do. But there is at least one major fictional universe that he hasn't been a part of yet. One that he would never say no to. It is Wizarding World.
During his interview with BBC Radio 1's Ali Plumb, Holland revealed that he is obsessed with Harry Potter.
As if we didn't have enough reasons to love Tom without it! During the interview, the actor and the host started talking about pub quizzes, which Holland loves as a true English lad. And the conversation soon turned to the Harry Potter quiz that takes place at Tom's local pub.
"I will smash that quiz. I think I might know more about Harry Potter than J.K. Rowling. I am like obsessed with Harry Potter. Growing up as a kid, it was my favorite thing ever," the actor shared, much to the delight of his and Harry Potter's massive fan base.
Tom's obsession with the iconic book series actually makes sense. At the height of the Harry Potter frenzy, Holland was the ideal age to be immersed in J.K. Rowling's books, and they undoubtedly played a significant and memorable role in his childhood, as they did for countless other children at the time.
Holland proved his bold statement some time later when Ali Plumb organized an actual quiz for him and Zendaya during another interview. Fans were thrilled to learn that Zendaya also loves Harry Potter.
What a cute couple the two of them make! But this time Tom killed the quiz by answering all the questions himself.
Though the book series ended nearly 15 years ago, the Wizarding World lives on in the form of the ongoing Fantastic Beasts franchise and other potential projects hinted at by Warner Bros.
Discovery CEO David Zaslav. Zaslav said last year that the studio would like to create more on-screen projects in collaboration with Rowling.
So Holland has a chance to actually become a part of the universe he loves so much. Fans would definitely jump at the chance to see him wield a wand.
