Liam Neeson Open To Reprise His Star Wars Role, No TV Series Though
With several prestigious Star Wars series appearing on Disney+, fans are wondering what other characters might get their own shows along with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Cassian Andor and Ahsoka Tano.
It looks like Liam Neeson is ready to reprise his iconic role as Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn, but with one catch – he won't be doing it for TV series.
Speaking to ComicBook (https://comicbook.com/movies/news/star-wars-liam-neeson-qui-gon-return-interest-future-phantom-menace/), 'Shindler's List' star talked about his involvement in 'Star Wars ' and the possibility of his return to the space opera.
"Oh, I think so, yeah, yeah, yeah, I think so ... if it was a film. Yeah, I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to TV, I must admit, I just like the big screen, you know? Qui-Gon, I can't believe it's 24 years since we made [Star Wars:] The Phantom Menace, I just cannot believe where the time has gone. It was a terrific experience, shooting that film in London," Neeson said.
Despite Neeson's distaste for small screen, fans are still hoping for Qui-Gon to make an appearance in the upcoming 'Obi-Wan Kenobi ' series.
Neeson seems to be a bit biased when it comes to television series, so fans of Jedi master Qui-Gon might be a bit disappointed. Of course, it's great news that the actor is willing to reprise his role, but finding a role for him in a full-length Star Wars movie will be extremely difficult given Disney 's decision to focus on streaming content for the franchise.
