Due to being in a long-distance relationship at the time, Lawrence and her then-boyfriend Nick Holt exchanged revealing pictures, which is a common practice.

But due to J-Law’s star status, when her iCloud fell victim to a cyberattack, her leaked photos immediately became the talk of the town on the Internet.

“When the hacking thing happened, it was so unbelievably violating that you can't even put into words. <...> I feel like I got gangbanged by the f*cking planet. There was not one person in the world that is not capable of seeing these intimate photos of me,” the star shared on the Awards Chatter Podcast.

Lawrence admitted that she decided against taking legal action but not out of being scared — if you know J-Law, you know she’s not the type to chicken out. The actress realized that whatever she’d do or say in the court “was going to bring her nude body back to her and Nick” or make the consequences of the leak any easier on her.

Jennifer Lawrence Thought Her Career Was Over

After the scandalous leak, the young star was scared that Hollywood’s doors would close before her, and it was eating her from the inside almost as much as the very fact of the leak. “I can't not act. It's what I was made to do, and I swear to God, it's the only thing that I'm good at,” Jennifer Lawrence explained to Vanity Fair.

Thankfully, nothing of the sort happened. While a huge explosion at first, the iClouds leak was quickly forgotten, and the studios were not going to let go off their young star either way. Soon after, Jennifer Lawrence became the highest-earning actress in Hollywood, proving that even such vile attacks couldn’t ruin her thriving career.
