While Joe’s current love interest, art gallery director Katherine "Kate" Galvin-Lockwood, seemingly has no clue about what (or rather who) she’s dealing with, season 5 may also feature some other characters that miraculously escaped a tragic fate of Joe’s less lucky victims.

New images emerging in the social media leave zero doubt about Tati Gabrielle’s return in the upcoming season. In season 4, Gabrielle portrayed librarian Marienne Bellamy who struggles with her own problems at the time she meets Joe.

Marienne is lucky enough to get out of Joe’s cage where she was trapped before by managing to fake her death with help of one of Joe’s students, Nadia. She later on moves away from all the mess taking her daughter with her to Paris so that they could start it all afresh.

With the recent update about Marienne’s return, fans started weighing on a chance that the show’s finale is actually assembling all the important characters that previously parted ways with Joe (for their own good).

If something like this is really what the creators have in mind, fans have all chances to see Jenna Ortega being back to her role of Ellie. Both Ortega and showrunner Sera Gamble admitted before that they would love to have Ellie back on screen, even though previously such an idea had met a dead end because of Ortega’s tight work schedule.
