James Gunn May Have Spoiled The Next Character Who Appears in Future DC Movies

James Gunn posted a tweet, marking the day (May 23) when Bobo aka Detective Chimp first appeared on the pages of the DC comic books in 1952.

Despite being a simple retweet, it stirred some speculations among the fans, suggesting that Detective Chimp might soon appear on big screens.

Detective Chimp, also known as Bobo T. Chimpanzee, is a fictional character in the DC Comics universe, who is a highly intelligent chimpanzee with exceptional detective skills.

There is some confusion about his first appearance. He first appeared in the Adventures of Rex the Wonder Dog #4 — the same comic book that was mentioned in the tweet. However, the comic book was actually published in August.

Nevertheless, it is still interesting that Gunn had to tweet the anniversary of the character.

Fans think that if the movie about Bobo Chimpanzee (or featuring him) is to be made — James Gunn is just the right man to direct it.

Originally, Bobo was an ordinary chimpanzee who lived in Africa until he was captured and brought to America.

There, he was subjected to a series of scientific experiments that enhanced his intelligence and reasoning abilities to an extraordinary level.
