This was a part of the bigger story, too big not to mention.

Although there are some fans who join the Game Of Thrones franchise because of the released prequel House Of The Dragon, it is assumed that the majority of fans are already familiar with the books or series.

Since the first seasons of Game Of Thrones were released about ten years ago, it is easy to forget some details and dialogues. But if you plan to watch it again, beware of the big spoilers.

It was almost expected, but many fans have noticed how Game of Thrones spoils the ending for the entire House of the Dragon storyline, and it happens more than once.

The conversation about the Targaryens' history first appears between Joffrey and Margaery in season 3.

He shows her the dragon skulls under the throne room and tells her exactly what happens to Rhaenyra at the end of the Dance of the Dragons.

Another, less obvious, but still pretty obvious plot reveal would be the moment with Queen Cersei I Lannister coming to the throne.

The Golden Company comes to congratulate her and asks how it feels to be the first Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. The question itself suggests Princess Rhaenyra's failure.

However, this may simply be a case of universe history being rewritten over time.

"Rhaenyra is never remembered as a ruling monarch despite actually sitting on the throne for a small period of time, only as a pretender/claimant," Redditor Environmental_Tip854 argues, saying that Rhaenyra might've been never recognized as the ruling Queen by history, but that doesn't mean she didn't mount the throne at some point.

After season 5 of Game of Thrones changed the course of events and became an independent story, there is always the possibility that House Of The Dragon will take the same path.

So keep your eyes peeled for news on season 2 and see where the story goes.
