It took one lawsuit to bring the production company to justice.

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few decades, you should remember how hugely successful the Twilight movies have been since the first one hit the big screen.

The adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's eponymous saga brought three young actors, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, into the limelight and launched their future careers in Hollywood in the most spectacular way.

Aside from the endless opportunities, all three stars received a pretty good paycheck from all the movies they've done.

Today, Kristen Stewart's net worth is $70 million, and most of it was built thanks to Twilight. The same goes for Taylor Lautner's $40 million. Robert Pattinson has had another big payday recently from his role as Batman, but it's safe to say that the Twilight check was also a base for his $100 million net worth.

All three stars started with $2 million for Twilight and gradually increased their pay as the movies became more successful. Reaching the A-list celebrity level ensured them all an equally large check of $25 million for the final two installments of the saga, Breaking Dawn. However, little did they know, they were about to get another bonus added to that number.

Aside from Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson walked away with an additional $2.5 million bonus after Goldcrest Film Distribution filed a lawsuit against Summit Entertainment.

According to Goldcrest's sources, "they were deprived of money due to fraudulent accounting practices.” There is no clear information as to why Taylor Lautner was not involved in the negotiations, but we can guess that he was satisfied enough not to get into legal fights.

With or without the lawsuit payouts, we can all agree that the numbers all the actors made prove once again how well received and loved the Twilight saga was by the general public. If you're feeling nostalgic, you can re-watch all the parts of the saga on Netflix, HULU, HBO Max and Paramount Plus.
