'House of the Dragon Episode 4 Will Make Fans Ship Rhaenyra and Daemon Even More
Even if they really, really don't want to.
You don't need to be a fan of incest romance to actually root for such a couple in 'House of the Dragon ' it turns out as fans are discovering themselves weirdly obsessed with Rhaenyra and Daemon Targaryen duo, making Daemyra a thing.
The two are uncle and cousin, but bizarre incest affairs are not a big deal when it comes to the House of the Dragon, as Targaryens prefer to marry relatives to "keep their bloodline pure".
No matter how uncomfortable you are with incest, it seems that upcoming episode 4 is going to make you root for Rhaenyra and Daemon Targaryen even more. At least that's what fans believe after having a look at some new episode 4 stills that capture the couple together, Daemon touching Rhaenyra's necklace gently.
And fans are all in – even though no one has asked for it.
According to 'House of the Dragon' fans, Matt Smith and Milly Alcock are "exuding" so much crackling energy, it's actually hard not to picture their characters romantically involved, and with the series progressing, the chemistry between Daemon and Rhaenyra keeps building up. Even those who were never interested in incestuous romantic plot lines in 'Game of Thrones ' and George R.R. Martin books are now rooting for Daemon and Rhaenyra.
"Insane" chemistry between Daemon and Rhaenyra has been in the air since episode 1, even though fans were left wondering just why the two would even feel attracted to each other. Fan theories continue to surface.
One Reddit fan suggested that Daemon is doing it out of his Iron Throne ambitions, as well as "partially out of desire/lust for Rhaenyra" and "partially out of a desire to get back at Viserys".
According to the books, Rhaenyra is going to marry Laenor Velaryon, but it is highly possible that 'House of the Dragon' will decide to make her relationship with Daemon endgame – not least due to the actual sexual tension they share, as well as the Iron Throne ambitions.
Still, we are yet to see just how their relationship is going to develop. Currently, there are seven more episodes to arrive.
'House of the Dragon' is streaming on HBO Max, with new episodes arriving every Sunday.
