Here We Go: Totally Spies! Is Back After A 10-Year Hiatus
The much-loved animated TV series from the 2000s returns for its 7th season/soft reboot.
Totally Spies!, an animated TV series from the 2000s about three teenage spies from Beverly Hills, is officially coming back to life.
According to an announcement from Banijay, a French media company, the show will get its seventh season, which will premiere on Cartoon Network and Max (formerly HBO Max ) in 2024.
The series followed three teenage girls, Sam, Clover and Alex, as they tried to balance their normal lives with being secret agents under the guidance of their superior, Jerry.
They worked for the World Organization of Human Protection (WOOHP) and faced all kinds of villains during the six seasons of the series, using various spy gadgets and disguises, which became a trademark of the show.
The first five seasons aired from 2001 to 2007, followed by an animated movie in 2009. The sixth season was released in 2013, but after that the series came to an end.
Now, ten years later, it returns with Season 7, which appears to be a soft reboot of the show.
As described in the official statement, "the new series stays true to all the key elements that make the show so popular, but has been lovingly updated for a new audience."
With respect for a loyal fan base around the world, the creators aim to update the show to reflect the modern challenges "faced by both high-schoolers and spies alike."
Fans are absolutely thrilled that their beloved childhood series is getting a fresh start.
With its lovable characters, pleasant animation and, well, just plain fun to watch, it definitely deserves to be brought back to its former glory.
Fans also jokingly point out that a new generation of boys can now lie about not watching this girly show while secretly enjoying it.
They also joke that the original series was the catalyst for the sexual awakening of many teenagers.
A great show about strong, intelligent and stylish female leads with a great emphasis on unity, fans hope that the new season/reboot will stay true to its roots and wish it well.
