Here's How Evan Peters' Quicksilver Could Still Appear in MCU After 'Multiverse of Madness'
Come on, even Elizabeth Olsen said she thinks it could have been a good idea to introduce X-Men's Quicksilver into the MCU.
Warning: the article contains spoilers for 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness'.
We all (especially those who watched 'WandaVision' as an ongoing show) remember how fans would lose their minds over theories about Evan Peters' character in the MCU. He is Mephisto, some people would claim. No, it is Quicksilver and Marvel is clearly building up the setting for X-Men in the MCU, others insisted.
The reality… well, it was what it was. Peters' character turned out to be someone named Ralph Bohner – just an average guy, a Westview resident controlled by Agatha Harkness, who made him pose as Pietro Maximoff.
The revelation was one of the biggest disappointments for Marvel fans, who have already spent weeks fantasizing about how the MCU and X-Men universe would intertwine. But the fact that Peters played Ralph Bohner in 'WandaVision' does not necessarily mean that he can no longer return as Quicksilver.
Think about it – if pretty much everyone has variants in other universes, as established in 'Multiverse of Madness', then there are some chances that Ralph Bohner could also have one.
And this hypothetic variant could, say, be a speedster.
Some fans seem to have actually expected that to happen in 'Multiverse of Madness', given that one of the universes in the movie features The Illuminati, with X-Men Charles Xavier and Reed Richards being among them.
What if there was a hint, and we just missed it…
He does not even need to be named Ralph Bohner, if you think about it.
Guess we'll just have to stay tuned and hope for the best… or maybe just settle with the fact that sometimes Marvel creators are okay with cruel jokes in their shows.
