Grey's Anatomy Main Characters All Share One Disturbing Toxic Trait

Grey's Anatomy fans absolutely love the show's main characters, or at least most of them. They are charismatic, charming, and just generally likable, which are necessary qualities to make viewers root for them.

But it seems that they also share one particular trait that fans have noticed, and that trait is quite toxic.

According to fans, most of the main characters are surprisingly rude to anyone who is not as hot and charming as they are.

For example, Sydney Heron, the always positive surgical resident, is often hated because she is basically too nice.

Even Izzie doesn't like her, even though they have almost the same personality. When Sydney goes on a date with Derek Shepherd, Sloan asks him if she's literally dying, and that's why he agreed to go out with her.

Another example is Jim Nelson, because even though he doesn't show up that much, other characters are still pretty mean to him. Callie Torres was also bullied for no real reason.

Fans also point out that the characters hate anyone who is not a hotshot surgeon, as they have bad attitudes towards nurses and even say that veterinarians are not real doctors.

While it may be true that some surgeons can be quite arrogant, there is still a line that shouldn't be crossed.

Finally, some fans find it particularly annoying that the characters openly refer to mentally ill people as crazy. While this may not be the most glaring example of bad behavior, it is still quite toxic.

All of this combined gives viewers the strange feeling that the main characters are all in some sort of exclusive club and bully anyone who is not a part of it, even if it is all done from a comedic point of view.

Some fans wonder why such sophisticated professionals would act like teenagers in high school.

It doesn't make the show or the characters horrible, but once you start noticing it, the weird feeling won't leave you for the whole series.
