Gossip Girl is famous for both onscreen and behind-the-scenes drama which was fuelling the fans' interest for six seasons. One of The CW show's biggest scandals was surprisingly caused not by one of the main actors but by a guest star appearing in one episode only.

Tim Gunn played himself in Season 4 Episode 6 titled Easy J. While enjoying the company of Penn Badgley portraying Dan Humphrey, Gunn was taken aback by one actress's attitude toward work and colleagues.

In his scenes, the famous Project Runway mentor mostly interacted with Taylor Momsen portraying Dan's sister Jenny Humphrey aspiring to be a part of the fashion industry. Gunn hated working with the actress so much that he didn't mince his words while giving post-Gossip-Girl interviews.

Thus Gunn told E! he was shocked by the way Taylor Momsen behaved on the set. The fashion guru revealed that he felt like being held hostage by the 17-year-old actress because she couldn't remember the few lines she had and spent too much time on her phone.

"What a diva!" Gunn exclaimed while calling Momsen "pathetic" and a "brat."

Though Momsen's behavior annoyed Gunn to no end, apparently. He told E! that he hadn't talked to the young actress about it during their time on the set together. But if he had been Gossip Girl regular, he would definitely have a talk with her.

The Only Gossip Girl Character Even the Author Hated

The Project Runaway star stressed that there were lots of beautiful smart girls who would jump at the chance to star in the popular show so he had a hard time understanding why Momsen was acting "like this show was a huge burden on her."

"If you weren't on your BlackBerry, you can retain this stuff," was the advice Tim Gunn wanted to give Taylor Momsen.

Turned out, Momsen's habit of spending every free minute on her phone was annoying not only to Tim Gunn but also for the whole cast. Gunn recalled the director leaning in and whispering to him, "this is day in, day out, my life."

Maybe that's why not long after the interview Momsen's role was drastically reduced. The actress only appeared in two other episodes including the series' finale. The rumor had it the actress's on-set behavior led to such a decision. Taylor Momsen has never taken an acting role since. Instead, the teen star has become the lead vocalist of the rock band the Pretty Reckless.
