Good Omens Adds Another Doctor Who Star To Its Cast
It seems that David Tennant is now accompanied by the Fifth Doctor.
Good Omens, a British fantasy comedy series created and written by Neil Gaiman based on his and Terry Pratchett's novel of the same name, ended three years ago, and fans have been clamoring for more of their favorite duo's adventures ever since.
Their wish was granted on June 29, 2021, when it was announced that the show had been renewed for a second season, despite the fact that the original novel did not have a sequel.
The story revolves around an angel, Aziraphale, portrayed by Michael Sheen, and a demon, Crowley, brought to life by David Tennant, who have walked the Earth since its creation and often cross paths, leading to all sorts of misadventures.
The first season ended with them preventing the apocalypse, and fans are eager to see what awaits the misfit duo next.
Now, the first news about the new cast members for Season 2 has arrived, and it seems that it will be something of a Tennant family reunion.
Peter Davison, best known for his role as the Fifth Doctor in the sci-fi TV series Doctor Who, will play a character named Alistair.
He also happens to be David Tennant's father-in-law. Davison will be joined by Ty Tennant, David's son.
Known for his recent appearance on HBO's fantasy TV series House of the Dragon, where he portrayed the young Aegon II Targaryen, Ty has been cast as a character named Ennon.

While fans are happy to finally get some updates regarding the highly anticipated Season 2, some of them point out that the whole situation looks like nepotism.
However, not all of them mean it in a negative way, as Reddit user doug_kaplan pointed out:
"It is but not all nepotism is bad. If an actor gets a role because of a famous parent, if the actor who got the role sucks, then they only got it because of their connections but if the actor is good, then the idea is they probably would've gotten the role anyways, their connections just helped.
I look at Domhnall Gleeson and think he absolutely would've been an actor with or without his dad's help but then I look at Miley Cyrus and think she only has her life because of her dad and god mother forcing herself into this world of ours."
The release date for Good Omens Season 2 has not yet been announced.
