Frozen 3: Everything You Need To Know About The New Disney Installment
Disney couldn’t let it go and is ready to entertain fans with the third Frozen installment.
Frozen, produced by Disney Animation Studios, is an extremely popular animated film, captivated audiences of all ages and quickly became a worldwide sensation when it was released in 2013.
The story revolves around two princess sisters, Elsa and Anna, who live in the kingdom of Arendelle. The sisters face problems when Elsa fails to control her magical powers and isolates herself from others.
The success of Frozen and the film's memorable music, including the iconic Let It Go, led to a sequel that was released in 2019. Now, four years later, the Disney studio is ready to bring out the third installment.
With the exception of Toy Story, Disney franchises rarely extend beyond a second film, let alone a third. However, the decision to continue the story of Frozen is justified by the franchise's extraordinary global success.
So far, not much information has been revealed about Frozen III. However, given the franchise's immense popularity, it's expected to build on the beloved characters and enchanting world of Frozen.
Most likely, the new installment will pick up where the second film left off, with Elsa becoming the Fifth Spirit and her sister Anna becoming the queen of Arendell. The film will explore the new dynamic between the two sisters, with Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel returning to their iconic roles in the film.
While an official release date for Frozen III has yet to be announced, Disney has reserved several slots on its calendar for upcoming projects. It is highly likely that Frozen III will be scheduled for one of these dates, with two slots in 2024 and an impressive six slots in 2025.
Based on the experience of the previous two installments, it is more likely that the new movie will see the light of day in November, just like its predecessors.
Unfortunately, the co-directors of the previous two installments will not be working on Frozen III, leaving the kingdom of Arendelle without its creators.
However, in her interview with The Wrap, Jennifer Lee assured that she is confident in the new team taking over the franchise and mentioned that she is excited about the direction they are taking.
With Pixar's Toy Story 5 and Zootopia 2 in the works, and now the announcement of Disney Frozen III, audiences will soon have the chance to delve deeper into beloved stories and experience a fair amount of nostalgia.
