Forget Superman, Henry Cavill Already Loves Warhammer 40K More
The actor spoke about his involvement in the upcoming TV series, saying that it is the biggest opportunity of his entire life.
Summary:
- Henry Cavill has had a number of impressive achievements throughout his acting career
- However, he considers bringing the Warhammer 40K universe to the screen to be his greatest privilege
- The actor has been waiting his whole life for a project like this, and finally his dream has come true
Throughout his more than two decade long acting career, Henry Cavill has seen his fair share of ups and downs, starring in both critically acclaimed and fan-favorite hits like Mission: Impossible - Fallout and embarrassing flops like the recent Argylle.
Regardless, the actor has also portrayed some truly iconic characters over the years, including Geralt of Rivia, Sherlock Holmes and, of course, Superman, arguably the most famous superhero of all time.
But it seems that the actor's greatest achievement, at least in Cavill's own eyes, is yet to come, which he revealed during his recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
The Actor Has Been Waiting For This Moment All His Life
Not long ago, it was confirmed that a Warhammer 40,000 TV series, based on the massively popular miniature wargame of the same name, is currently in development at Amazon, with Cavill signed on as star and executive producer.
Now, while discussing his involvement with the project, the actor called the chance to bring the Warhammer 40K universe, of which he is a huge fan, to the big screen the "greatest privilege" of his entire career.
Although he was unable to give any more details about what to expect, Cavill assured fans that keeping the show faithful to the source material is "key" to him, as he has been dreaming of this moment all his life.
The actor even said that doing something like this was the reason he got into the industry in the first place, making it clear how important the project is to him.
Fans Can Rest Assured That The Franchise Is In Good Hands
Considering that Warhammer 40K has all chances to grow into an entire cinematic universe, as the deal includes rights to "series, film and more," fans are once again reassured that it is in good hands.
They also point out that given the actor's amazing resume of legendary characters, which will soon include Highlander in addition to the aforementioned, the fact that he calls this the greatest opportunity of his life is definitely saying something.
Unfortunately, since the project is still in the early stages of development, no specific information such as the show's plot, further casting details or even an approximate release date has been revealed.
