Fans Say This 100%-Rated Bollywood Movie Is the Most Rewatchable Ever
What can be better than laughing every time like the first?
Bollywood has proved multiple times that India can make great movies, no matter what genre or when they are made. From 1551 Awaara, to 1973 Bobby, to 2002 Devdas and to 2023 Jawan — so many movies have been praised by critics and Indian movie fans.
And one of the movies that gets into every “the best” list of Bollywood movies is the one called 3 Idiots. The 2009 movie is a family dramedy, one of the most beloved genres in the industry, and it follows (surprisingly) the lives of three friends.
The cast of the movie is amazing, including Aamir Khan, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, and Kareena Kapoor as leading stars. The story centers on three friends, Farhan, Raju, and Rancho and their lives through time. The events of the movie are told in two parallel universes: the present one and the one many years ago, while they all were still students of an Indian engineering college.
As we see from the flashbacks, it was a hard time for them all, because of the pressure they were under. Ten years after their graduation, the two friends are reunited and decide to find out whatever happened to Rancho. And when they do, they are absolutely amazed with what he has accomplished.
The movie had a huge social impact on the Indian society for highlighting the important issues under the educational system of the country. But at the same time, it has a lot of funny moments, which just make you reminisce about your own college days.
“If you haven't seen '3 Idiots', you must. I saw this movie for the first time this year and I'm not sure I've ever laughed and cried so much during a film. It's such a beautiful powerful story I think almost everyone can relate to. Nearly three hours just flew right by. It's honestly going to be one of my top ten favorite films of all time,” Redditor not_cinderella said.
The movie is still absolutely adored around the world and received a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. 3 Idiots is available to watch on AppleTV.
