Golden Globe winning ABC sitcom is coming to an end after successful eight-year run on television.

Created by Kenya Barris and starring Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Laurence Fishburne and Jenifer Lewis among others, series became a cultural phenomenon since its first season took TV by storm in 2014. Now it's time to bid farewell.

ABC announced that show's last episode will air on April 19. Talking to People, actors shared their emotions over the series looming finale.

Jennifer Lewis said that she was honored to "be on network television doing a show about Juneteenth, doing a show about police brutality, doing a comedy about the N-word", while her younger co-star Marsai Martin added that "going onto that set, it just felt so warm and so welcoming. And throughout the years, we instantly just grew a big family and it just felt home".

Tracee Ellis Ross confessed that she "cried so much in our last week. It was ridiculous".

Despite the original series ending this April, its TV universe is still going strong. Show's spin-off 'Grown-ish' has been recently renewed for the fifth season.
