Dwayne Johnson on Superman And Black Adam Dynamics: "We Will Break The Internet"
With Black Adam being touted as a new hope for the DC universe, it looks like the Rock is all in on the idea.
Dwayne Johnson seems to be enjoying the euphoria that Black Adam has brought to the DC fandom. With the return of Henry Cavill 's Superman being the worst kept secret about the movie, the Rock promises that it's just a tiny bit of what DC fans can expect from him.
Speaking with JOE's Rory Cashin, Johnson said that the Black Adam Superman moment is going to be "a moment" of a "much bigger story that could be told the right way".

Pitching his creative team as "long-term storytellers", the Rock teased that fans should be getting ready for more right now. According to the actor, Black Adam and Superman are not immediately enemies. In fact, the two have plenty of things they agree on. But if only life was that easy.
"Down the road in our storytelling, there [are] a lot of things they're not gonna agree on," Johnson noted. "Myself and Henry Cavill, I'm sure we'll get after it in the gym [...] and we will in fact break the Internet."
To be fair, Black Adam has already broken the Internet after its post-credit scene revealing the comeback of Cavill's iconic red-caped hero was leaked. Early reviews have also touted the movie as packed with exciting action scenes and stunning visuals. According to the critics, the movie does not only work just because of Cavill's return, but also due to Black Adam's character being deep and believable.
Black Adam premieres in US theaters on October 21, and Johnson has explicitly hinted that he is not done with his anti-hero. So should the movie be as much of a success as people expect it to be, then we can certainly expect something big from future DC projects.
