Would he be able to perform perhaps the most violent act of all?

If there's one thing that was perhaps the most intriguing of all about Homelander, it's how he acts around Ryan. Although he didn't have the most loving childhood, he has tried his best to live up to his own standards of a good father, and even if he hasn't completely succeeded, he manages to create a mini-me out of him.

But no matter how strong Ryan is, he is still a child, more naive and easily tricked. And when it comes to battle, no one really knows how he would behave. If he is still indecisive about joining his father's side or going against him, he may end up facing the Homelanders as an enemy.

And there is no way to tell if he would be shown mercy.

While some fans believe that Homelander is so fond of Ryan that he wouldn't go so far as to kill him, at least not knowingly and intentionally, others are not so sure.Of course, his rough upbringing is the only real cause of his weakness, and Ryan is seen by him as a chance to make things right, but this may not be enough.

Judging by how approving and cheerful the crowd was after seeing him kill that protester for a very minor offense, it's safe to expect Homelander to go full supervillain mode in an upcoming season.

A child, whether his own or someone else's, would probably not be able to slow down the rage that lives within him.

Also, Ryan mentioned Homelander killing him in his nightmares at the beginning of season 3. While that could just be a kid's mental state not being all that good after everything he's been through, it could also be a foreshadowing of what's about to happen.

After all, Homelander coming and burning everything down before killing his son doesn't sound too far-fetched, does it?

Whether that will happen or not, we'll have to wait and see. The Boys season 4 is in post-production, but according to Eric Kripke all work has been frozen due to the writers' strike, so there is no release date yet.
